The Middle East is a region where is king and fuel is cheap, typically leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually pressed up the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
